Kohlrabi
Kohlrabi does look a bit like swede or overgrown turnip, or even an alien, it is in fact a swollen stem grown above ground. Related to other Brassica'ss like the cabbage, turnip or Kale this wonderful vegetable has been around since at least the 8th Century.
